Warren
Brown
Producer, engineer, musician
and music editor Warren Brown has worked for many years
helping craft great pieces of music. Studying privately in New York with
some of the greatest Jazz musicians of our time has provided Warren with
a solid background in music arrangement, performance and theory. At the
same time as studying music, he opened his own recording studio in Green
Point, Brooklyn to have a place to work out concepts of recording and
composing. During that period he was able to master the recording and
production techniques that we use today. Today he combines the technical
mastery of the recording process with music skills allowing for a flow
in the studio that facilitates comfort and creativity in the writing
process.
Warren’s studio background has lead to a career in the film industry.
Working as a music editor for four seasons of The L Word for the
Showtime Network as well as on feature films such as Sideways
- Japan, Flicka 2 and Christmas in Wonderland among
many others.
Working with musical artists such as Billy Ray Cyrus, Jane Sibbery,
Matthew Garrison, Julie Blue, Rinsethealgorithm, Kristoffer Polaha
and Elizabeth Ziff has provided an education in music that is
still ongoing. His career has taken him to Rome to create a live
surround sound performance, New York and Vancouver B.C. to create
records, theme music and television scores and finally settling in Los
Angeles, California. Where he has become a member of the MPSE and
continues to practice his craft.
